The Boer goat, originating from South Africa, is bred especially for meat. Most UK Boers have been brought here from Europe and, more recently, Canada and New Zealand to improve the gene pool.
Goat meat is best eaten young. Goat kid is similar to lamb but leaner, sweeter and more succulent. Unless otherwise specified, all of our goat meat is kid. Goat meat is tender, delicious and doesn’t need to be curried.
